Mega Man 11 has been announced, looks like Mighty No. 9

The debut trailer was unveiled during Capcom's Mega Man 30 live stream, alongside a new Mega Man X Collection which will also be coming to all current-gen consoles along with the PC.

Capcom did not specify how these games will release on the modern systems.

During the livestream we got a short look at Mega Man 11, which sports an interesting anime kind of style different from anything used in other Mega Man games.

What do you think about a new Mega Man game? All those sequels might lead you to assume that Mega Man - or Rockman in Japan - was an immediate smash. It's real, official, and coming to a cavalcade of consoles: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.

Koji Oda has been tasked as the game's director, having previously worked as a director on Resident Evil 0 and Strider. The three announcements so far combine for a grand total of 19 Mega Man games heading to the Nintendo Switch by the end of 2018.

After years of silence, Capcom has finally extended one of their most iconic gaming series with Mega Man 11.
