Mostly sunny, high near 38 — TODAY'S FORECAST

While that part of the forecast remains murky, what's certain is that cold air is headed our way.

For Wednesday, expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 44 and with wind gusts as high as 23 miles per hour.

High temperatures in the Harrisburg area are expected to be 40 or below from Thursday through Monday, according to forecasters with National Weather Service at State College.

It will be sunny but the high will only reach 35 in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Saturday night, the low will be around 26 with mostly clear skies, according to the weather service. South wind 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.

Thursday's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high of 34 and a 20 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m.

As for this year, there is a chance to see some snow in our area this Friday and Saturday, but warm ground temperatures will make it hard for any accumulation.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high of 42, and a southwest wind of 5 to 8 miles per hour becoming west northwest in the afternoon, the weather service said.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 38.

It's still too soon to say with any certainty, according to the National Weather Service.
