N'Zonzi NOT in London for Arsenal, Liverpool talks confirms Berizzo

N'Zonzi NOT in London for Arsenal, Liverpool talks confirms Berizzo

In recent days there has been plenty of transfer gossip about Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.

The former Blackburn and Stoke star has been left out of their latest squad - their Champions League crunch against Maribor - meaning the player has now been overlooked by Los Rojiblancos for their last four games.

Sevilla had been 3-0 down at half-time, but N'Zonzi's withdrawal coincided with a barnstorming fightback from the La Liga side, who salvaged a 3-3 draw to preserve their year-long unbeaten home run.

'He has travelled to London to visit his son with our permission.

It's understood both Arsenal and Everton are expressing a strong interest in N'Zonzi, 28, with the midfielder's future in serious doubt following a bust-up with manager Eduardo Berizzo. Nevertheless, a move from Sevilla in January looks very likely.

The Spanish outfit made a heroic comeback but the two men have failed to patch things up since and N'Zonzi was sidelined for the last three matches. My future is clearly elsewhere than in Seville. "I will not repeat it ... but his words affected me", N'Zonzi told France Football. What does that mean?

"Whether in a 4-3-3, 3-5-2 or any other formation, a player must adapt to what his coach demands and I have always done it".

N'Zonzi then bemoans the departure of legendary sporting director Monchi: "I'm not here to decide whether I'm going or not, but to play".

N'Zonzi revived his career when he moved to Sevilla in 2015 after a disappointing three-year stint at Stoke. "But what bothers me is the way this is happening, I never had a problem like this with any coach".
