OU running back Rodney Anderson accused of rape

A woman filed a victim's protective order against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson on Monday in Cleveland County court.

According to ESPN.com's Jake Trotter, Anderson said in a statement through his attorney that the allegations are "patently false". After drinking at two locations, she said his friends were insistent that Anderson take her home. She described Anderson in the petition as an "alleged rapist" and described herself as a "victim of rape".

"All I remembered from the night was kissing him and vomiting for about 20 minutes". She wrote she recalled "me not feeling like I could say anything and trying to get away from him to put clothes on but he followed me asking what I thought I was doing".

"We're aware and are gathering more information", Oklahoma football spokesman Michael Houck told the Oklahoman.

Anderson has been one of Oklahoma's breakout stars this year. Mr. Anderson did not, nor would he ever, force himself on any woman. A hearing is set for December 18 to determine if a protective order will continue. However, there are those accused of sexual assault which they unequivocally did not commit- as is the case for Mr. Anderson.

Oklahoma is scheduled to play the semifinal game against Georgia in the Rose Bowl on January 1st.

Anderson has rushed for 960 yards and 11 TDs, while adding 16 catches for 283 receiving yards and five receiving TDs this season for the Sooners' electric offense.
