Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Official Wedding Date Revealed!

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Official Wedding Date Revealed!

However, it does pose a bit of a problem for Harry's brother and best man (officially known as a "Supporter" under royal custom), Prince William, who is president of the FA Cup and traditionally presents the trophy to the victor.

The FA have confirmed the final will not be moved to another date and Kensington Palace say they will factor in the game as part of their wedding planning.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on May 19 in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace announced Friday, a date that falls on the eve of the Jewish festival of Shavuot.

Asked why a Saturday, the spokesman said: "They felt it would give the public the greatest opportunity to watch, come out, support and get involved".

The timing could be an issue for Harry's older brother Prince William, who is expected to be the best man at the wedding. William is president of the Football Association.

Prince Harry and the actress had announced their engagement in November.

The wedding date presents a potential conflict for Prince William, however.

Check out this adorable video of the pair in their first joint interview! The castle is one of Queen Elizabeth II's main residences, which she had to grant her grandson permission to use.

Markle is to be baptized in the Church of England before the wedding, and has said she will acquire British citizenship.

Royal weddings are traditionally held on weekdays, but in a truly scandalous break from convention, Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen a Saturday. The 15th-century chapel is as historic but more intimate than Westminster Abbey, where William married Kate Middleton in 2011.
