Quake of 5.5 magnitude hits Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand; epicentre East Dehradun

"The epicentre of natural disaster was Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand located at 30.4 degrees north latitude and 79.1 degrees east longitude", the information released by the Indian Meteorological Department said.

An quake of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday.

Many people from Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad took to Twitter just after they felt the natural disaster tremors.


As per media reports Vibrations were also felt in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, Kullu and Mandi, and some parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Uttarakhand comes in an area which is more prone to natural disaster.

Many people took to Twitter just after the natural disaster was felt by them. On Tuesday, a 3.3 magnitude quake was reported in the state.
