Toys for Tots drive underway

Roger Salinas is another contributor who said previous year when the Marine Corps Toys for Tots were running low on toys, they wanted to step in to help.

This year's Toys for Tots campaign runs through December 10th.

This year, the Marines need to collect 90,000 toys to help 25,000 needy kids across the state.

The 22News lobby is filling up, but the need is great.

You can make a monetary donation to Toys for Tots online here.

"The toys that we get in the county are supposed to stay in the county, but I've had a few people call and I've referred them to other agencies in Midland", Aloia said.

And thanks to the generous donations from all of the small business owners who joined the club they now have a mission to help more than just the kids.

The goal for this Holiday season is to help around 2,000 children and teenagers receive gifts this Christmas, and according to Davies donations are right on track to reaching its goal.

Volunteers then hand out the toys to families in need.

You can put a smile on two faces - one of them belong to an area child, the other yours - by participating the in the First Annual CSU Toys for Tots toy drive.
