Woman 'molested' by Ola cab driver in Bengaluru

A young woman from Bengaluru has alleged that an Ola cab driver held her hostage in his auto and harassed her. And Rajashekar Reddy had a 4.9/5 rating, which is considered very good. A similar disgusting shameful incident was reported from Hyderabad where the 26-year-old Uber driver was arrested after the woman passenger on board filed a complaint against the driver.

Following the incident, when the woman tried to create a commotion and banged the windows, the cab driver let her out.

The incident took place on Sunday night at around 10.30 when the 23-year-old woman, who works as a fashion stylist in the city, took the Ola cab to reach her home in BTM Layout, a southern suburb.

An Ola spokesperson said, "We regret the unfortunate experience the customer had during their ride". I was looking out of the window when he suddenly stopped and started touching my legs.

She then complained to Ola, the executives of which told her that the driver had been banned from the platform.

"The police had also called up the driver and warned him from calling and threatening me". "They then promised to suspend the cab driver but no senior official called me back to detail me the status of my complaint". "I have approached Ola and they have assured me that he will be taken off their system", the victim said. "Safety of customers is our priority and we will continue to extend our full support to this investigation against the said driver".

Ola said in a statement on Wednesday that it had zero tolerance to such incidents and the driver had been suspended on receiving the complaint.

The woman also alleged that the company did not inform her of taking any action against the driver.
