49ers LB Reuben Foster arrested on marijuana possession

Alabama officials released the booking photo for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster Friday evening.

The report cited the Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office arrest database. The former Alabama product played in 10 games past year with San Francisco, still finishing second on the team with 59 tackles.

Foster started all 10 games he played in this season and posted 72 tackles, including 64 during the 49ers' final eight games.

During his senior season in 2016, Foster won the Butkus Award given annually to the nation's top linebacker and was first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection.

A first round pick in last year's National Football League draft, Foster is now widely viewed as one of the NFL's most promising young defensive players. His urine sample was found to have been diluted, which was treated the same as a positive test. And we don't know much more than the little information that has come out from AL.com or other sources.
