'Age of Empires: Definitive Edition' Gets Release Date

It was originally supposed to release on the 19th of October 2017, but was pushed back in order to gather more feedback from play testers.

We're excited to get Age of Empires: Definitive Edition into the hands of players this February and we thank you for your patience while we put the finishing touches on it!

Age of Empires Definitive Edition will revive the classic RTS with updated visuals, a new soundtrack, various gameplay improvements and up to date multiplayer. The game will come with plenty of new features that will improve the experience considerably.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will be available worldwide on February 20 for Windows 10 PCs at $19.99 Dollars.

Meanwhile, creative players can also concoct their own special campaigns using Age of Empire: The Definitive Edition's scenario editor, which can then be shared with other players on the game's official website. If you'd like to play before launch, the multiplayer beta is adding participants on January 29.

Known for its strategic gameplay founded on historical civilizations, the "Age of Empires" series has explored early human civilization all the way up to colonial America, and even includes a game exploring the legendary creatures and lore. To participate, you will need to head over to the beta sign up page and register for the beta.
