Alexis Sanchez Talks Between Arsenal and Man City Resume

There has been much speculation as to where both of Arsenal's star men will end up, with Alexis Sanchez heavily linked with a move to Premier League front runners Manchester City, meanwhile there has also been much talk of Ozil reuniting with former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Sanchez has been a key figure for Arsenal since he moved to the North London club from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.

Arsenal were close to selling in the summer but dragged out a deadline day deal too long.

Theo Walcott wants a temporary move away from Arsenal in order to increase his chances of playing in the World Cup next summer, Goal understands.

Arsenal have also tracked Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang but manager Arsene Wenger ruled out the possibility of a deal last week.

Arsenal want a fee in the region of £35 million, if they are to agree to the January sale of Alexis to their Premier League rivals. But, poor form has done nothing to sway the interest of his suitors.

The Evening Standard reports that Pep Guardiola is concerned with his attacking options after Gabriel Jesus sustained knee ligament damage and will be sidelined for around six weeks.

However, while Wenger is keen to further improve his squad in the January window, he insists he has not made an approach for Evans. The Chilean worldwide has been linked with PSG, Bayern Munich and even Real Madrid over the past few months, but now the Gunners' top flight rivals Manchester City are set to make a significant bid.

"We don't intend to let anyone go during the winter", he said.

Original target Lemar is now expected to join Liverpool instead, meaning Wenger could turn to Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha or Lyon's Nabil Fekir when it comes to replacing Sanchez.
