Allen hits back at molestation claims, daughter says he's 'lying'

Her first televised interview about the claims aired on CBS This Morning on Thursday (18Jan18), and Allen responded with a statement to CBS News, stating that the allegations were thoroughly investigated by two organisations for months and they concluded no molestation had taken place and suggested Dylan was coached by her mother to tell the story. The director was investigated on child molestation claims for the alleged 1992 incident in CT, but prosecutors elected not to charge him.

Dylan Farrow says she wishes Woody Allen had been charged over allegations he sexually abused her as a child.

"Honestly yes. I do wish that they had", she told CBS.

A CT state prosecutor at the time had found probable cause to charge Allen but thought Farrow too fragile to face a celebrity trial. "I had a long talk with her about not working with him and it didn't click", she wrote in the comments.

The New York judge who presided over the 1994 custody battle between Allen and Mia Farrow ruled that the allegations were inconclusive, but at the same time lambasted the director as "self-absorbed, untrustworthy and insensitive".

Colin Firth is the latest actor to speak out against filmmaker Woody Allen. While Allen has consistently denied her claims, Dylan has never given up in her bid to prove the director's alleged guilt, and recently started to take aim at actors who have worked with her estranged father.

Allen again denied these accusations, writing in The New York Times in 2014.

The mother-of-one said she is "not angry" with the actors who have starred in Allen's films, a number of whom have distanced themselves from the film-maker in recent days in the wake of the Time's Up and Me Too movements.

He added: "Instead, they found it likely a vulnerable child had been coached to tell the story by her angry mother during a contentious breakup".

Allen denied the original accusation as "untrue and disgraceful" and again rebutted the claims this week, accusing the Farrow family of "cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time's Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation". "I never molested my daughter - as all investigations concluded a quarter of a century ago".

In addition to that, Woody Allen is now married to one of his other adopted daughters, Soon-Yi Previn-a relationship that began after Mia Farrow (her mother, his then-wife) found nude poloroid pictures of Previn in Allen's possession.

She told CBS: "And what I don't understand is how is this insane story of me being brainwashed and coached more believable than what I'm saying about being sexually assaulted by my father?"

Farrow, now 32, was visibly emotional as she was shown a clip from U.S. show 60 Minutes, dating back to 1992, in which Allen, now 82, vehemently denies the alleged molestation.
