Ally Sheedy Calls out Golden Globes Winner James Franco in #MeToo Tweet

Ally Sheedy Calls out Golden Globes Winner James Franco in #MeToo Tweet

While Mariah Carey's bodycon black dress had tongues wagging on the red carpet, it was James Franco that was hot topic of conversation inside The Beverly Hilton for the 75th Golden Globe Awards.

"Why is a man hosting?"

Do not come between James Franco and a microphone. "Christian Slater and James Franco at a table on @goldenglobes", adding #MeToo, which has become synonymous with victims of sexual harassment and abuse.

"James Franco just won", she tweeted later while watching the program. "Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business".

Franco and Sheedy previously worked together on the 2014 off-Broadway production of "The Long Shrift". In 2014, a then-17 year old fan shared an alleged communication on Instagram in which it appears Franco tries to arrange a meeting at a NY hotel.

He has yet to weigh in on Ms. Sheedy's tweets.

After posting her accusations on Twitter, Paley also tweeted that she has evidence against Franco and has contacted girls with similar stories of assault. "After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?"

Franco, who also directed the film, said he was very happy to share the moment with Wiseau, and also thanked his cast and crew, including Seth Rogen and his brother.

A second continued: "Shout out to James Franco for sparing the world from Tommy Wiseau's unscripted speech".

The tweets have apparently since been deleted from Sheedy's account.

The Breakfast Club actress made it clear she was not on board with Franco's attendance to the Golden Globes or his award. Many fans watching found it ironic that the awards show was celebrating women's empowerment and an end to sexual misconduct while still promoting actors with troublesome pasts.
