Amu Classmates Unwilling To Believe Wani Has Joined HIZB

All new schemes developed by the Government especially for Jammu and Kashmir seem to have failed after it was reported that a scholar at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) joined the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. The information came to light when Wani's parents filed his missing report in his hometown Kupwara.

A post on the social media, that showed Mannan, who had been pursuing Ph.D in Geology at AMU, with an AK 47, claimed that he joined the HM on Friday, according to the police sources here.

Earlier in the day, the Uttar Pradesh Police had conducted raids at the university in search of Wani, who went missing a few days back.

The police said that they are trying to locate Mannan and his last known location was Delhi.

Wani hails from Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.


The photograph of his that went viral read that he had joined Hizbul Mujahideen outfit on January 05 and was given code name, Hamzah bhai.

The 25-year-old research scholar was disappeared a week ago and was suppose to be on his way home. "However, he didn't report back home", the sources said.

"I had never thought he would take this extreme step", Wani's father Bashir Ahmed told Firstpost.

Meanwhile, photos of another youth namely Asif Ahmad Wagay are also doing rounds on social media.
