Android 8.0 Oreo Update Starts Rolling Out To Nokia 6

Android 8.0 Oreo Update Starts Rolling Out To Nokia 6

Android Oreo beta builds for the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 were already released in past year.

After testing the Beta builds of Android Oreo on Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, HMD has now started rolling out the Android Oreo stable update to all Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 users.

The update is being rolled out in a phased manner globally and India is among the first countries to receive the update.

The Android 8.0 Oreo beta for the Nokia 5 carries the version 5.140 and includes the December Android security patches as well as the usual Oreo goodies. All the new features are now on a roll on Nokia 5 devices. To check the Android 8.0 Oreo update manually on your phone, go to Settings System Check For Update. The update package is around 1.5GB in size and brings nearly all the neat features that Oreo has on offers, such as notification dots, picture-in-picture (PiP) and detailed notification settings. Asus has also cleared some bloatware in the new update by removing apps like Minimove, Photocollage and Do It Later.

Once the Oreo update is updated, the newest features will be onboard the Asus ZenFone 3 update. Users may get the update at different time intervals.

As unbelievable as it sounds, especially compared with the latest software updating speed of certain industry veterans and market leaders, HMD Global is on the verge of completing its Oreo tour de force for 2017 Nokia smartphones. The 5.2-inch Zenfone 3 is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB Memory, while the larger 5.5-inch variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB Memory. The phone has a 5.2-inch 720p LCD display and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card. Talking about the camera, it carries a 16MP main rear camera and a 13MP front-facing snapper. The Zenfone 3 is backed by a 3000mAh battery and comes with major connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
