Apple App Store revamps web interface, gets iOS 11-like design

The design change to the web interface follows the company's decision to remove the App Store from the iTunes desktop application.

Apple has updated the look of its web-based App Store, 9to5Mac first reported.


If you thought Apple's iOS 11 App Store redesign was overdue, the tech giant is now finally getting round to updating its web interface. Additionally, there appears to be more emphasis on app reviews. The design cues of the new interface takes have been taken from the App Store on iOS 11. So let's dive in to see some more details on the revamped App Store web and how it features resemblance with its iOS counterpart.

As part of the design overhaul, Apple is showcasing app screenshots from its latest iPhone X. Oh, and now Apple reminds you that its apps are only available on the App Store for iOS devices. Apple appears to be completely revamping its offerings after the launch of the iPhone X. Last year, after on iOS 11, in September 2017, it had chose to from its iTunes app for Mac and Windows. But, unlike iOS 11, there's no focus on app discovery. Although in October, Apple a new version of iTunes bringing back numerous features.
