They also suggest that the Greek Under-21 global is due to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical and repeat the claim that he will be immediately dispatched to the Bundesliga rather than added to Arsene Wenger's first-team squad.

The 20-year-old joined Arsenal from Greek side PAS Giannina for a fee in the region of £1.8 million on Thursday and manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the youngster would be sent out on loan in the coming weeks to aid his development.

It took until April 2017 for Mavropanos to make his league debut as he became an integral part of Giannina's defence in the 2017/18 season before his arrival in North London. "We'll give him out on loan".

Mavropanos is regarded as one of the best defenders to emerge in Greece in the past 10 years.

He has made tremendous progress over the last few years, but needs to work hard on the tactical side of the game to improve his chances of playing for the Arsenal first team.

"Apart from being very strong, he is also very effective in the air, relatively quick and a player with great personality".

It's been claimed that Mavropanos is one of Arsenal's new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat's recommendations, a player he has been watching since his time at Borussia Dortmund.
