Battle for Azeroth Pre-order Bonuses and Release Date Revealed

World of Warcraft will be getting a little bigger this year with the release of Battle for Azeroth expansion, which is set to arrive this summer and is now available to pre-order.

Battle for Azeroth's pre-purchase costs $49.99. Players who want to unlock these Allied Races must be Exalted with that race's associated Legion faction.

You'll also unlock the ability to play as the new Allied Races variants, like the Highmountain Tauren, Lightforged Draenei, Void Elves, and Nightborne. The standard edition is priced $50/€45, while the deluxe will set you back $70/€60.

World of Warcraft was originally released in 2004, and has since gone on to become of the most successful MMORPGs of all time, with over 100 million registered accounts.

With this expansion also comes the usual addition of content, such as the level cap being raised, new dungeons and raids being added, new continents, and new mechanics. Blizzard has been offering these instant boosts since Warlords of Draenor, the game's fifth expansion, was available for pre-purchase back in 2014.

"Battle for Azeroth" will also be offered as a boxed Collector's Edition, though details on that particular release haven't yet been made available. Players will gain access to two mounts: the Seabraid Stallion for the Alliance and the Gilded Ravasaur for the Horde. The Hearthstone bonus is an Azeorth Is Burning card pack, while the StarCraft II goodies are sprays themed around the Horde and Alliance. Finally, in Heroes of the Storm you get a new Primal Flamesaber mount in three colors. The Dark Iron Dwarves will be unlockable for the Alliance, and the Zandalari Trolls will be unlockable for the Horde.

What's far more exciting about this pre-purchase is the inclusion of the new Allied Races system.

Plunder the Islands of the Great Sea: Set out on Island Expeditions and conquer an ever-changing array of enemies, environments, and objectives.

You have to be of the respective faction to begin the unlock quest.
