CBSE release date sheet for 10th-12th board examinations

CBSE release date sheet for 10th-12th board examinations

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations are going to be held in March.

This year is especially crucial for Class 10 students, as from 2018 onwards, the board has abolished the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) grading system, which it had followed for seven years, and restored the annual examination system.

16,38,552 students are expected to appear in Class X exams and 11,86,144 are expected to appear for class XII exams. The Central Board of Secondary Examination has sent a notice to all the affiliated schools. While a few students have tweeted about the frequent postponing of dates, a few have shared their apprehensions about the possible lack of time for the final preparation. Many students are tensed about the dates and the gap that we will get between each exam.

Exams Timings for both exams: The board exam will commence at 10:30 am. The Schools and Junior Colleges are asked to upload the practical marks on the CBSE website by February 25, 2018.

In September a year ago, the CBSE had confirmed about the exam being held in March 2018.

Class 12th paper ends with Home Science on April 12.

Parents across the city have also shared their apprehensions about the lack of contact between schools and the board this year. Candidates can go through the marking scheme and sample papers released by the Board.

In October 2017, school education secretary Anil Swarup wrote to the heads of all state education boards, advising them to completely avoid "bunching of marks" and "their spiking", and 178 states "responded positively" to the suggestion.

Interestingly, 6 transgender students will write the class 10 boards while 2 transgender students will be among those appearing for class 12 board.
