Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Extended After Weekend Of Server Issues

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases soon and Bandai Namco had another surprise in this week's Jump magazine with the reveal of its original character Android 21 as a playable character in the upcoming fighter.

After absorbing their energy, she can even use attacks from the fighters she's stolen energy from. She takes on his appearance, has the ability to absorb the energy of opponents and use their moves like the Kamehameha and Solar Flare, and her super is the "Hungry Time" which is similar to Majin Buu's as it turns to candies but there's a big "But?" in the translation as well. She can then use the skills of the opponent she absorbed, such as "Kamehameha". She also wears clothing similar to that of Majin Buu, though why these visual changes occur is still unknown.

We have known for quite some time that Android 21 would be involved in the game thanks to past info dumps from Bandai Namco, so her being playable doesn't come as too much of a surprise. Arc System Works does have something special in the latest Dragon Ball game, which people would know if they actually managed to get into an actual match.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26 in the Americas and Europe, and February 1 in Japan.
