Draymond Green Obliterates NBA Referees, Suggests Drastic Change

"It's really bad. I don't know why it is". League rules dictate that a player receives an automatic one-game suspension once he gets assessed his 16th technical foul of the season, with another one-game suspension for every two additional techs thereafter.

The punishment came two days after Green told The Athletic that officials are "ruining the game". "Too many personal things going on".

While there has been no official retort from the league or any of its better-known officials, this is surely going to stoke the fires that already exist between Draymond and the National Basketball Association, an organization that has suspended the forward multiple times in his career up to this point.

The league's referees association last month called for a meeting with the players union to address growing dissension between players and officials, according to an ESPN report.

In light of his recent ejections, along with the earlier controversies, Green spoke about the relationship between the refs and players this season, saying the tension between the two groups is "ruining the game". It should be one of, if not the main priority, to be solved.

Most recently, Green was called for two technicals in a 47-second span in the Warriors' 141-128 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on December 30.

It definitely should. They can get a new crop (of referees), a whole new crop. Too much me against you.

"It's bad", Green said. "It just don't work that way".

"I've been on the court when we're just looking around like: 'Why did he get a tech?' He didn't say anything, he didn't do anything demonstrative", Curry said.

Three of Green's teammates also have been ejected this season - Kevin Durant, who has been thrown out of games three times, Stephen Curry and Shaun Livingston.
