With what's been a tremendous marketing campaign now winding down, and advanced ticket sales for the film promising big numbers at the box office, all signs point to another monster hit for Marvel, and we'll know soon enough if that's indeed the case. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

The women of Wakanda are kicking ass and taking names in this featurette from Marvel's upcoming "Black Panther".

Fandango managing editor Erik Davis revealed on Twitter Black Panther sold more advance tickets in one day than the previous record holder, Captain America: Civil War.

"'Black Panther' is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now. Tickets have been going fast ever since pre-sales started on Fandango late Monday".

The one-minute and a half preview featured new clips from the film which stars Chadwick Boseman who plays T'Challa ("Black Panther"). It will be released on February 16, 2018.

Boseman's character is next slated to appear in May's "Avengers: Infinity War" where he'll rejoin his fellow Marvel castmembers.

"Captain America: Civil War" opened in May of 2016, and is the 15th-highest worldwide grosser, with $1.15 billion.

Also starring Michael B. Jordan, Lupita N'yongo and a host of others, the Ryan Coogler-directed film follows Black Panther, or T'Challa, as he returns home to his African nation of Wakanda to reclaim his throne.
