Galaxy S9 formally announced next month

We now know that the Samsung Galaxy S9 is landing some time in February, and with the launch that close it's no surprise that a lot of details are leaking out, most recently a photo seemingly showing the phone's retail box.

Samsung, last year, had revealed a foldable smartphone through the private conference held at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) event in 2017. Samsung may ditch the headphone jack with both the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. BUT on the bright side, they won't have to wait till spring at Samsung's event where they typically show off and launch their flagship devices. Samsung will reportedly join the affair in order to put the Galaxy S9 series in the limelight.

Coming to the new and more exciting stuff, the S9 will feature a 12MP super speed dual pixel camera with optical image stablisation. According to the leaks so far, these Samsung foldable smartphones can not feature a glass panel, when it comes to design. The only thing that Samsung confirmed about the phone is it's going to be foldable.

The previous model, the Galaxy S8 was revealed a month before its launch in April past year.

Samsung set up a private exhibition room at CES 2018 in order to introduce its foldable Smartphones for only VIP customers and shared specifications and release date of foldable Smartphones.

Koh also said that the company was planning to launch its foldable phone sometime next year. The phone will have dual stereo speakers tuned by AKG and also come with earphones tuned by AKG.

Some of the other hardware specs being reported include: a 5.8-inch Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED display, IP68-certification for water and dust resistance, Iris scanner, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus and wireless charging.
