Girl Scout Cookie sales begin February 3

Councils use cookie earnings to power fantastic experiences for girls through their programming, while girls and their troops decide how to invest in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities, and more.

"During Girl Scout Cookie season, each young G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) is not only selling delicious cookies, but also building essential life skills, such as goal setting, people skills and business ethics", said Jana Reeves, director of product programs. We pick up our cookies and start delivering with the initial order.

"For many years, Girl Scouts in our community have been supporting police, fire and members of the military, including donating cookies", Connie Chavez, chief external affairs officer of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto, told TODAY Food.

Girl Scouts are known for their eight cookie recipes, Do-si-dos, Toffee-tatic, Savannah Smiles, S'mores, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Thin Mints and Samoas.

Plus, for the second year, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is giving away a new auto. Peterson says their goal with this contest is to engage the public with the Cookie Program.

Cookies will be sold at traditional booths, door-to-door and online. "A lot of troops use it to do community service projects in their area". Cookies are reported to be available for delivery in February.

You can buy cookies January 13 through March 4.
