Here Are All The Nintendo Switch Announcements From Nintendo Direct Mini 2018

Hyrule Warriors Deluxe Edition will release in Spring 2018.

As Nintendo makes every effort to leave the Wii U in its rear-view mirror, it seems to be slowly porting over every big release from the forgotten son of its library. Mario Tennis Aces is due for the Nintendo Switch this Spring and will be bringing along the first full story mode since the series appeared on Game Boy Advanced. The game is being developed by Camelot who has previously worked on a number of Mario Sports titles. It features exploration through a forest, where Fe (the fox you play as) has to interact with other animals to learn new abilities that allow it to explore.

The game is coming on March 16 and our playable character Kirby will be going to get a new Artist ability. By using these abilities in co-op you're able to reach places you'd be unable to get to before. This game will be available May 4th. The new Dragon Quest Builders is available as a demo today in the eShop. Luigi finally makes an appearance, but only to introduce a new mini-game: Balloon World. There will be touch-screen functionality similarly to how the iOS version, though you can still play with a controller.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Nintendo told third-party developers recently that 64GB game cards for retail games would not be made available until sometime next year. Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, fans got many reasons to buy Switch a year ago, and in 2018, the company is giving more reasons to pick its handheld console. New outfits will also be included such as Sunshine Shades and knights armor. That's right. Super Mario Odyssey's first add-on content is coming this February, which will add Luigi to the mix along with new modes, Nintendo has announced during a Direct Mini presentation. The 2013 game Payday 2is also coming to the Switch on February 27th, complete with online cooperative gameplay.

A women-only entry in the popular SNK fighting game universe?

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is getting new downloadable content, and it focuses on one of Nintendo's leading characters. While I would love to see both HD remakes come over to the Switch, I'm not entirely confident that we'll see either of them considering just how much of a shift Breath of the Wild represents for the series. Fe comes to Nintendo Switch February 16.

The trend of Wii U ports continued, with both Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.

The title will also be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC so you'll be able to get your nordic adventuring on with your favorite console. It's Nintendo's big release ahead of Easter 2018, so there's a lot riding on it. We know that. But ads help us pay the bills.
