Google is trying to make a splash at the world's largest electronics trade show, blanketing Las Vegas with advertisements and its share of new gizmos that can be controlled by its Google Assistant.

TechJuice for Browser: Get breaking news notifications on your browser. You can explore more from the digital web market right from the Smart Displays that will introduce by many other giants in the coming days. Moreover, some of the displays are more like tablets, and will let you carry them around your house. No matter what you want, there's a good chance Google Assistant - and the Lenovo Smart Display - can help you out.

Neither Apple Inc's assistant Siri nor Microsoft Corp's Cortana are now available on a speaker with a tablet-like display. A motorist can ask Alexa to play music, order a cup of coffee from a nearby Starbuck's, or operate various home automation devices, turning up the thermostat or turning on the lights at home, for example. Lenovo's Smart Display, for instance - our Best IoT/Smart Home award victor this year - pairs the AI technology with two different sizes of touchscreen, aiming to conquer a place on the kitchen counter that until now might have been home to an Amazon Echo Show. Regarding the device specifications LG hasn't spoken a lot.

"Panasonic's work to bring Amazon Alexa to the vehicle is a great example of how we're seeing greater collaboration between technology vendors to provide a more consistent experience in different domains", said Nils Lenke, senior director of corporate research at Nuance.

The devices can show details about restaurants, launch a video chat over Google Duo and pull up images hosted on Google Photos.

The company has experimented with developing a version of Google Home with a screen, Rishi Chandra, vice president of the division, told Reuters in August. The newer updated Assistant will be able to access all of your third-party Google Assitant services and will be able to control your smart home devices just by receiving commands from your cars.

Toyota's Zack Hicks explains how Toyota Connected will use Amazon's Alexa to supplement its system already in place.

Both the variants of Lenovo's new Smart Display carry a different price tag.

LG Electronics Inc chose Google for televisions it unveiled this week, but opted for Alexa in refrigerators because of its online shopping functionality. Did you expect this from Lenovo for this year? For more updates, stay tuned with us!
