Next-gen Nokia 6 (2018) to be revealed this coming Friday

Now, it looks like HMD will announce the Nokia 6 (2018) this week as a China-based online retailer Suning has taken to Weibo to tease the launch of the smartphone via NokiaMob.

So because of that, that will also mean like Nokia 6 (2017), it will most likely make its way to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) after that which is at the end of February 2018, but what's more, the Nokia 6 (2018) will be the first Nokia phone to come with a full view display.

We've known since last month that a new version of the Nokia 6 was in the works following a Chinese TENAA listing. According to rumors and speculations, the company wants to launch major Nokia smartphones in early 2018. Lately, two variants of the Nokia 6 (2018) were spotted on the TENAA certification in China shedding light on the possible specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

Besides these models, it is known that HMD Global will launch the Nokia 9 on January 19 in China. The device will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On top of that, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone too. Rumors suggest that the chipset is question could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. Some other specifications that are said to feature in Nokia 1 are 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage.

The Nokia 6 (2018) will be juiced up by a 3000mAh battery and on the connectivity front, it will support 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C and dual-SIM support.

The handset will have a 16 megapixel rear cameras for videos and photos and an 8 megapixel front facing camera for Selfies. The phone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is a letdown as most the most smartphones are now coming with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
