Nintendo Direct reveals Dark Souls is coming to Switch

Not a lot has been revealed about this title today so we'll have to wait for more information. But Nintendo also announced that Donkey Kong will make his debut on Switch this year, with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze releasing on May 4th. This wave will include the battle character Blastoise along with Mew and Celebi as a support set.

Kirby Star Allies comes to Nintendo Switch on March 16th, right around the corner. The update will also bring new costumes and filters for the camera, which is a nice touch for a freebie.

"What we are seeing is that Nintendo made a profound investment in some of these games for the Wii U and they didn't meet expectations, so the company is hoping it will do a better job of monetizing the investment by releasing the games on the Switch", Ward said. The tweet indicated that Nintendo won December with the Switch, while Microsoft's Xbox beat the PS4, meaning that Sony ended the final month of 2017 dead last. Nintendo will release the game in Spring 2018. Today's much anticipated Nintendo Direct Mini offered up a slew of games, many of those games being ports.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will be released on Nintendo Switch this summer. The Switch version of the game will include a timed-exclusive character name Joy, who's described as a "Japanese computer whiz". That seems to be what this new story mode is going for, but it also seems that this particular mode might abandon the tennis academy setting of previous Mario Tennis stories in favor of something a little wackier.


The more balloons "Super Mario Odyssey" players recover, the higher the spot they can take on the Balloon World leaderboards. The DLC pack will release in Spring.
