Overwatch Blizzard World Map Opens Next Week

"Epic memories can only be made in an epic world", Blizzard wrote.

Blizzard has confirmed the release date for Overwatch's next map: Blizzard World.

Overwatch Blizzard World, the next new map for Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer shooter, will launch next week.

As announced by the Overwatch Twitter page, Blizzard World will be releasing across all platforms on January 23. The Blizzard World map contains themes and locales from other Blizzard games such as Diablo 3, World of Warcraft, and Hearthstone.

There was an amusing moment during last year's Blizzcon where it nearly seemed like Blizzard actually had the ego to open a theme park based on their video games. Game Informer also reports that those already enjoying the match via the Overwatch PTR state that it's fun to play, with both Assault and Payload matches well-balanced. 2018 in Overwatch sees the Year of the Dog as the next Lunar New Year event and it'll have "significant content players will be very happy with" according to Kaplan. It's finally going to be available for console players to get a taste of now, and you'll definitely want to pick a hero with a flying ability so you can hover around and check out some of the sights while playing.
