Pelosi calls higher wages, worker bonuses 'insignificant'

They've been working on it in a bipartisan way for a long time, ' she said.

"The five white guys I called them you know", Pelosi (D-Calif.) said her in weekly press briefing, drawing uncomfortable, forced laughs from the gallery.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's comments related to tax savings have changed dramatically over the past seven years: She previously lavished praise on former President Barack Obama's $40 payroll tax cut, but now dismisses the $1,000 bonuses doled out by corporate America as a result of the recently signed GOP tax overhaul. The worker bonuses, Pelosi added, are insignificant. Why it would matter beyond Democrats once again playing the race card is unclear.
