A auto crashed into the second floor of a California office building early Sunday morning, police said.

The Orange County Fire Authority says the Nissan Altima hit a center divider early Sunday, soared into the air and plowed into the top floor of the two-story structure in Santa Ana.

Santa Ana Police said in a statement that the driver of the vehicle admitted to using narcotics. The driver is expected to be admitted to a hospital for an evaluation. Members from OCFA & LA COUNTY Urban Search & Rescue teams are removing the vehicle from the building. The fire department tweeted that the vehicle then "went airborne and landed into the building".

The vehicle started a small fire which was quickly extinguished.

"It was insane, it really was", said Sanchez.

According to witnesses, the vehicle caught fire upon colliding with the building. Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze, then extricated a second person who was trapped inside the sedan. There were no other injuries reported.
