Pochettino provides an update on crocked Tottenham ace Danny Rose

Tottenham's two best performers from last season, Dele Alli and Harry Kane have had a contrasting season up until now.

Levy shot down suggestions Tottenham's return from Wembley will be delayed, saying: "Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, I'm very confident we will be playing our home games back here for the start of next season".

The guarantee came from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who insists there is no chance of the club cashing in on their prize assets in 2018. Sometimes you want players to stay but the player says, 'no, gaffer I need to change, I need to wear different colours'.

"The fact Aaron spoke publicly about the issue can inspire people around he world, not only in football, through him or through his behaviour, to get some help", continued Pochettino, who chose to speak in Spanish while his assistant Jesus Perez translated. Every word that he said yesterday we need to respect because he's our boss.

Home-grown hero Kane has repeatedly underlined his commitment to Spurs and manager Mauricio Pochettino on Sunday talked up hopes that he could remain a one-club man in the mould of Roma's Francesco Totti.

Son, who has had a hand in more goals at Wembley than any other Tottenham player this season with seven goals and four assists, was comfortably the best player on the pitch but it was Kane who assumed centre stage as his 98th top-flight goal arrived in the 59th minute.

While Spurs are braced to ward off potential approaches for their top talent, it remains to be seen if they will move to reinforce in the weeks ahead, with Pochettino offering little indication that signings are imminent.

"Ah but like I told you Harry is special".

Everton sacked Ronald Koeman in October and turned to former England manager Sam Allardyce, who has made them more hard to beat, but the Merseyside club have not won in their last four Premier League games and they were dumped out of the FA Cup by neighbours Liverpool a week ago. "But if not, it's hard".
