Tottenham's Georges-Kevin N'Koudou heading to Burnley on loan

Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou is hoping to kick-start his Premier League career at Burnley after joining the Turf Moor club on loan for the rest of the season.

Letting Nkoudou go spread his wings and gain confidence is another intelligent bit of business from Pochettino and company, the dividends of which will be paid out when the Frenchman returns to Spurs as a full-fledged Premier League player.

Sean Dyche's side, who are only two places below Tottenham in the league table, have been chasing a winger after seeing their options in that area depleted last month when Republic of Ireland global Robbie Brady underwent knee surgery. "I am happy to be here, so thank-you Trippier", Nkoudou told Clarets Player HD. This season, N'Koudou has managed to collect only one appearance in the Premier League.

The France Under-21 worldwide has made just six appearances for Spurs this campaign, only playing once in the Premier League.

"I watched the last game against Liverpool when they played very well and were unlucky".

But just nine starts later, the midfielder has not found first-team football easy to come by at the North London club. Burnley manager Sean Dyche and French side Saint-Étienne had shown an interest in signing Nkoudou on a permanent basis but it is understood that Pochettino was keen to retain a player who joined on the final day of the August 2016 transfer window for £9.4m.

"I hope to help the club".

"I am ready to play and waiting on the starting blocks".

It also means Erik Lamela can take his spot in Tottenham's Champions League squad ahead of the last-16 clash with Juventus set to take place next month.
