Woman found dead at Gwinnett mall ID'd as Georgia State student

The New York Post reports that Silling A. Man, a Georgia State student, was discovered in the vacant fast-food restaurant at Gwinnett Place Mall in Atlanta. She was dressed in a black, mesh-style jumpsuit, police said. Police say there was no official missing person's report filed when she vanished.

At the time Man was found her body was described as "being in an advance state of decomposition", according to the incident report filed on December 21.

She had died two weeks before her decomposing body was found, according to the medical examiner. She was last enrolled for the Fall 2017 semester as a psychology major, and did not enroll in spring semester classes. She went missing again two days later.

She was last seen on November 20, when she picked up her paycheck at a different mall from the one where she was found.

She was previously reported missing on October 8 before returning home when an investigator took on the case. Her death has not been ruled a homicide, but the circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated according to police. The cause of Man's death was not determined, but Gwinnett County Police Sgt.

After discovering Man's body, Atlanta Journal-Constitution also spoke to the Gwinnett County commissioner Jace Brooks who said, "It's probably not a great reflection of the current private owners of the mall". "I$3 f I were actively managing a large retail facility, I would hope that I would notice a body of a woman that had passed away in that facility fairly quickly". On Jan. 2, police urged the public to help identify the victim and sorted through tips before identifying Man.

Cops investigating the death have appealed for information about her activities and acquaintances from mid-October to mid-December.
