YouTube Execs on Logan Paul Scandal: "Actions Should Speak Louder Than Words"

YouTube Execs on Logan Paul Scandal:

Now, Japanese authorities who have viewed his other videos have discovered that Paul could be charged with at least four different crimes: public indecency, interference with business operations, destruction of property, and countless traffic violations. Suicide victims are often found in the forest.

YouTube announced that they are cutting ties with YouTube celebrity Logan Paul. All of the original content Paul was developing with YouTube Red has also been indefinitely stalled.

Google has chose to step up its monitoring process and will reportedly start vetting YouTube channels more strictly from now on.

YouTube is issuing his channel a "strike".

It follows the huge backlash over Paul's video entitled "We found a dead body in the Japanese suicide forest", which showed him and his friends laughing at the body of a man hanging in Paul later apologised for the clip, which was viewed more than a million times before it was taken down, saying it was "wrong" and "misguided".A YouTube spokesman said: "In light of recent events, we have chose to remove Logan Paul's channels from Google Preferred".

YouTube's response to most of these controversies was either demonetising the videos or removing the ads - but certainly not taking any of these videos down.

With millions of videos being uploaded to their platform, which are they then use to generate profit, content platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter should be held responsible for the same content they monetise.

"It's insane - the haters think they're having an effect on us, and if the haters knew how much love was out there and how much support was out there, they'd shut their freakin' mouths", he said in an Instagram video. "He's expressed remorse quickly and is leaning from this experience...the most important thing to focus on is actions should speak louder than words". "Additionally, we will not feature Logan in Season 4 of "Foursome" and his new originals are on hold". PewDiePie, the biggest star on YouTube, brought in some flack to the platform a year ago as a result of anti-semitic elements in his videos.

YouTube said it would soon announce steps to protect advertisers from having their products connected to controversial material. Below is a list of some of the services available which offer support, information and help.
