YouTube star Shane Dawson posts apology after old jokes about pedophilia surface

"People have foot fetishes, people have fetishes about everything, that's fine, do your thing. Here's proof." It was posted January 10, but has since been removed by YouTube.

"I can't believe I even have to say that", he added on Twitter. And she goes "Oh I'm a cheerleader", and I'm like, "Oh really", and she shows me her Instagram, which I'm like-first of all, I don't know if I'm not allowed to say this, but she's, like, sexy'. "I think it's disgusting that people are saying I'm a f***ing pedophile because of some sh**y ass jokes from six years ago on a podcast", he yelled unrepentantly.

He said: "I said OK, why do you have so many followers?" So why is it when somebody looks at and Googles like "naked baby" on Google and j**ks off to it, they can get arrested?

Staggeringly he continues: "Here's the worst part of it, I actually went to Google..."

In a possible attempt to shift focus from the backlash YouTuber Logan Paul has faced, it is being alleged that his manager hired a team to smear fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson. So I typed in "naked baby". The edited video begins with Dawson saying, "Here's my thing". But, they were sexy.

The video contained an audio clip from 29-year-old Dawson's podcast Shane and Friends, in which he can be heard saying calling a young girl and infants are "sexy".

"I am not a f**king pedophile!", Shane said in a video uploaded on Wednesday. I am sorry that I was, like, so f***ing insecure and, like, playing this character. this guy who's f***ing insane and will say anything and tries to make people laugh by shocking them. I was confident enough to make smarter jokes, I was making the easy jokes. Oh my god I honestly don't know what to do this is making me sick'. "I was doing s-- that was racially insensitive, I was doing s-- that was homophobic, I was doing s-- that could be considered fat shaming, I was doing some f--ed up comedy stuff that I'm not proud of". "That is what I did on YouTube". YouTube's rules also very clearly state that "it's not okay to post large amounts of repetitive and/or re-uploaded videos to your channel", which Pop Blast's channel did multiple times over the course of several hours. I have changed so much as a person; as a creative, and as a writer, and as a director. I'm going to start by saying I am not a f***ing paedophile.

Then Lauren explains to the listeners: 'He has this justification for paedophilia and it's so disturbing, and I just pretend that he doesn't'.

In the clip he said: "I can't believe this is happening".
