Afif Hossain will be making his debut for Bangladesh.

After the Test series, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka lock horns in the two-match T20I series.

The hosts have opted to field four debutants in Zakir Hasan, Nazmul Islam, Ariful Haque and Afif Hossain. Tamim Iqbal is suffering from his bicep injury while Mushfiqur Rahim has a wrist injury. They will hope they can beat Sri Lanka in the lowest overs format to ensure that at least they can take the series to a draw. The visitors were victorious in the One-Day International tri-series that also saw Zimbabwe feature.

For the second time in as many Tests, Bangladesh pitches have come under the scanner after the International Cricket Council (ICC) gave a "below average" rating to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium wicket which was used for the second Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Test last week.

The temperature in Dhaka is warm and the full game is expected.

The players in for their maiden T20 global appearance are Zakir Hasan, Afif Hossain, Ariful Haque and Nazmul Islam.

Sri Lanka: Upul Tharanga, Danushka Gunathilaka, Dinesh Chandimal (c), Niroshan Dickwella (wk), Thisara Perera, Dasun Shanaka, Akila Dananjaya, Jeffrey Vandersay, Isuru Udana, Shehan Madushanka, Amila Aponso, Kusal Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Asitha Fernando.
