Conor McGregor would destroy Floyd Mayweather under MMA rules, predicts Michael Bisping

The Irishman's attempts to register "Conor McGregor" for clothing are opposed by Dutch fashion company, Doniger, which already sells McGregor menswear.

That is likely to be the key to whether the fight takes place, but in the meantime, Mayweather's teasing of it will only increase the hype.

McGregor suffered a tenth round stoppage loss when he challenged Mayweather to a boxing fight past year. There's no doubting that McGregor is definitely welcome back, after all he is one of MMA's most successful fighters of all time, but he's now in a different class of competition after his fight with Mayweather.

McGregor's fight against Mayweather and the birth of his first child have been reasons behind the lengthy hiatus from MMA, and Camp McGregor is still keeping quiet about future plans both inside and outside the Octagon.

Despite being back in training, there is apparently still a long way to go before McGregor will be fighting at any UFC events again, with a lingering cloud still hanging over the long-awaited return.

"Conor McGregor in an MMA fight will f****** destroy Floyd Mayweather like he's never seen".

But Bisping said he had heard rumours that a billion dollars was the price for a few UFC fights and that would be an attraction.

"It would certainly be a record breaking pay-per-view, I don't know if it'll be more than McGregor vs Mayweather in a boxing ring but it certainly has the potential". There are multiple opponents on the platform.

'I felt I went into his realm and I felt handy early on, he had to wait for me to get exhausted'.

'Who wouldn't watch if? He could take him down pretty f-- easy.

Bisping added that it might not be "stupid" for Mayweather to compete in MMA as "he doesn't risk his ideal [professional boxing] record of 50-0". You take him down you pass guard and you elbow the f**k out of his face in about 35 seconds, you fight a boxer you take him down. - I'd watch it - of course I would. "McGregor has a great kicking game - we've seen them all a thousand times, very fast, very agile - a lot of spinning kicks, he could just kick him into oblivion".

Either way, it looks like McGregor will have to earn his title back if he does made a decision to return to MMA, and the focus on now UFC fans should definitely be the Khabib-Ferguson fight.

If the American were to move into MMA, it would perhaps be an even more sensational switch.
