Isaiah Thomas Felt Like LeBron James Talked Down To Him

Isaiah Thomas has had quite the first couple of games in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Before getting traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thomas asked the Celtics to postpone his video tribute until a February 11 game in Boston because he didn't play in the first meeting against his former team. No disrespect to any other organization, but you don't hang conference titles.

That was less than a month ago. The Pelicans point guard seemed to initiate the skirmish with a forearm to Thomas' neck, prompting a war of words with the two players. "It was obvious. He picked me up full court, trying to be physical". "I hope the National Basketball Association figures something out with that, because it was wrong for me to be ejected". Arguing his ejection was "uncalled for", the 29-year-old doesn't believe he should have been thrown out of the game over his actions. In the discussion, Broussard said that sources close to Thomas informed him that he grew exhausted of the atmosphere in Cleveland which may have hastened the trade.

For those not aware, Thomas is referring to remarks made by Rondo earlier this year - when the latter said I.T. shouldn't have received a video tribute on the same night the Celtics retired Paul Pierce's number. "Got my joy back and I'm ready to put on a show for the Lakers". He was being too aggressive for whatever reason, and he also hit me in the face three times. "I hope the National Basketball Association figures something out with that, because it was wrong for me to be ejected".

"I was talking to somebody yesterday close to Isaiah, and they said, He has absolutely no love at all for LeBron", Broussard said. When told that Thomas led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference finals last season, Rondo said, "Oh, that's what we celebrate around here?"

Rondo did not speak to the media after the game. Nonetheless, all eyes will be on the two point guards when their teams square off again in New Orleans on March 22.
