#16 Boise State to face #1 Louisville

The last time Nebraska made it, they were a ten-seed and lost in the first round to Baylor.

Although Boise State is the higher seed, Washington is hosting the game because Boise State's arena is not available.

Baylor head coach Scott Drew said not making the NCAA Tournament field was a let down, but the Bears still have a chance to win a championship.

"I believe we're an NCAA tournament team, but that's not something I get to decide on".

Nebraska is set to play No. 4 seed Mississippi State in the first round of the NIT on Wednesday. The two programs have not met since December 23, 1999.

The Washington-Boise State victor will play the victor of the game between Saint Mary's and Southeastern Louisiana.

"We've worked hard all year to get to postseason", Quinndary Weatherspoon said. Satisfaction, too. Cincore and Wood, both seniors, made the NCAA tournament as true freshmen. For now, the Huskies (20-12) are turning their attention to The NIT.

The Cards have also had their best start this year by winning 20 straight games, the longest in the program's history.

Williams, talking to media 90 minutes after the big reveal, said she didn't know much about Arizona State. It was the Ducks' first loss in four home games this season.

Quinndary Weatherspoon is averaging a team-best 14.8 points per game.

Washington is 8-1 lifetime against Boise State, but the teams haven't played in 19 years.

His latest rebuilding effort at Mississippi State saw the Bulldogs finish seventh in the SEC standings with a 9-9 ledger after placing 12 in 2017. The school's deepest run came in 2007, when Stansbury took MSU to the NIT Final Four at Madison Square Garden. They will visit fourth-seeded Western Kentucky in the first round. The regular season, preseason was these guys.

Tipoff is approximately 4 p.m. Friday and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Vermont (27-7) at Middle Tennessee (24-7), 5 p.m. Notre Dame is the top seed in Oregon's eight-team sub-bracket.

Rider (22-9) at OR (22-12), 7 p.m.

With a win, UW could play at No. 1 Saint Mary's (28-5) in the second round later this week. Other teams kept getting the nine, 10, and 11 seeds that seemed in line with where the Huskers would be slotted.
