Brazil experiment for friendlies without Neymar ahead of FIFA World Cup 2018

A posse of English Premier League players led by Chelsea's Willian, Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus and Liverpool's Roberto Firmino will lead Brazil's quest in upcoming friendlies against World Cup hosts Russian Federation and reigning champions Germany later in the month.

Tite and his staff had elected to delay their announcement by ten days following the injury to Neymar as they awaited for an assessment on the physical condition of the PSG star and a number of other regulars including Marcelo, Casemiro and Fernandinho.

Brazil will be away to World Cup hosts Russian Federation on March 23 and world champions Germany four days later.

Premier League players Ederson, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino, Willian are all selected.

Tite has named a couple of new faces in Willian Jose and Anderson Talisca but mentioned that the list does not included several players who might be a part of the final roster for the World Cup.

"I want to give all the athletes opportunities right up until the end", Tite said.

That will be the first match between the two since the Germans routed Brazil 7-1 in the 2014 World Cup semifinals.

Also making his debut for Brazil will be Anderson Talisca, who plays as a professional for Turkish club Besiktas.

The five-times world champions kick off their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on June 17 before facing Costa Rica and Serbia.
