Broncos To Land Case Keenum

After restructuring his contract last year, Robison said he wanted to play two more years with the Vikings and likely retire after the 2018 season.

The 30-year-old Keenum is considered the second-best QB available on the open market.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins will reportedly take his first free agency meeting with the Vikings, and it appears that might be the end of his free agency tour. Sources told ESPN that he plans to sign the pact on Thursday. Both New York and Arizona are attractive options for various reasons. Gang Green hasn't won a Super Bowl in 49 years, and the quarterback would become immortalized if he could bring a championship to the much-maligned franchise.

WCCO's Mark Rosen, who has been on top of this since day one, confirms in his report that the money would be for $28 million per season but didn't have the amount of seasons.

NY is working on a deal with Bridgewater, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of the situation.

Assuming Cousins, who turns 30 on August 19, signs with the Vikings and starts in Week 1 of the regular season, he would be the Vikings' sixth different opening day starter in seven years at quarterback.

Also, Minnesota led the National Football League in total defense in 2017. The Vikings reached out to Brees Monday, according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Keenum would have veterans Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders as his targets in Denver after Elway chose not to release either of the expensive wide receivers.

McCown had a lot of success with the Jets past year as a would-be bridge quarterback who managed to put up really nice numbers and help the Jets to a surprisingly successful season.

However, in his fourth season, Cousins was tabbed as Washington's starting quarterback, and he obliged by throwing for 4,166 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 picks while leading the league with a completion percentage of 69.8.

One line coming out of Denver has the Broncos on the verge of addressing their quarterback needs.

With a sparkling new stadium, stacked roster and head coaching stability, the Vikings jumped to the head of the line of potential suitors for Cousins.
