Demi Lovato celebrates 6 years of sobriety:

In an inspiring message on Twitter, the Disney legend wrote: 'Just officially turned 6 years sober. "We're healthy, we're happy", De La Garza continued, adding that she's still in therapy.

"Today is a very special day for me". She admitted to trying cocaine for the first time at 17.

Demi was open a year ago about how she had wanted to relapse, but didn't.

The "Confident" singer has since credited the CAST Centers, a Los Angeles-based rehabilitation facility, for treating her the following year. The singer and former child star has not been shy about sharing her struggles with mental health issues, including bipolar disorder, eating disorders, self-harm and addiction. "I was not easy to work with".

"I think the woman that went into treatment when I finally did accept help, I think she was a really broken, tired, sick girl", De La Garza explained.

Lovato also said she's noticed a significant change in her mom's overall well-being.

Lovato recently invited "GMA" co-anchor Robin Roberts to give a motivational talk at one of the events and said she is "somebody that is so inspirational and I love her to death, so I'm very grateful that she's coming". "If you sign up and you're going to the concert you can come to this motivational speaking [before the show]", she said.
