Devil May Cry is the Latest Series Crossover for Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter: World's next crossover will be with another Capcom franchise: Devil May Cry. A new event quest will be available soon that rewards items for creating Devil May Cry content in the co-op action RPG. With Dante's weapons, however, the shield is no longer present, but players will still be able to guard. For those unfamiliar Devil May Cry, you play as Dante as you hack and slash your way through demons and solve puzzles to fend off the evil that is to come.

Capcom Unity has shared more details on what type of event and gear will be expected from this collaboration. This unique event weapon resembles Dante's classic Force Edge sword in its normal state but can transform into the massive Alastor. With the right materials, players can create a full set of armor that makes them look like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Other collaborations include a Mega Man Palico armor set, and Ryu armor set from Street Fighter. Her bow is also forged at the smithy.

Capcom is releasing a brand new Devil May Cry HD Collection featuring the first three games in the series. Dante, the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, will be coming to MHW.

This content won't be platform specific, and will be unlocked for all Monster Hunter World players when completing the corresponding Event Quest. Players can pick up the collection on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
