How to get Mario Kart on Google Maps this week

On March 10, which has been dubbed "Mario Day", Google chose to give users the chance to be guided by Super Mario himself. Thirty years later, something truly awesome has happened, at least for Super Mario Bros fans. They hum the Super Mario Bros. background music on repeat, daydream about collecting gold coins and 1-UP mushrooms, and want nothing more than to traverse the Mushroom Kingdom with Luigi, Toad, and Yoshi to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. So wherever you go this week, he'll be with you and he'll even be cheering you on with some fist pumping as you drive wherever your destination may be.

The Google Maps' update for "Mario Time" is accessible for both Android and iOS gadgets.

Those who have installed the update will see a go-kart from the Mario Kart games instead of the the regular blue navigation. Tap on it and it will give you a prompt to enable Mario Time. He'll be a constant companion wherever you're driving this week- to work, to school, or the curry house. "Just keep in mind to practice safe driving on the road-we don't encourage throwing bananas or red shells at other drivers in real life!" Next to the "Start" button, where will be a '?' icon in the shape of the '? block' from the Mario series of video games.

Announced by Nintendo of America, the feature works once you input a destination and choose your vehicle as a auto. Granted, that's all speculative, but most Nintendo mobile games do change the formula of the original titles somewhat to accommodate mobile features.
