Eggs are filled with candy and gifts with special prize eggs for each age group. Just before 11:00 a.m., the event moves next door to the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum where thousands of eggs will be scattered throughout the Arboretum grounds.

The event is free.

The annual event begins at 8:30 a.m. with a free pancake breakfast.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos, and free cookies and a cash lemonade stand will be provided.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned good or toiletry item to support Love, Inc., a private social service agency based in Burlington.

The park is located at 671 Branch St.in Lumberton. The Egg Hunt starts at noon.

The Southern Kiowa Chamber will sponsor the Mountain Park Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m. March 31 at the Main Pavilion of Glenwood Park in Mountain Park. Businesses who donate baskets will be listed in the pre-event and post event press release as well as announced on the day of the event.

The children can burn off energy running around looking for the eggs, and their happy faces when they discover eggs is an old-fashioned pleasure for their parents and grandparents.
