New PUBG patch adds a friends list, emotes, and Steam achievements

The biggest new addition of the update are 12 new emotes, new PUBG friends list, main menu voice chat and more. The game has continued to receive updates since its arrival on the Xbox One in late-2017 and a Spring 2018 Roadmap was released recently which confirmed that updates will continue throughout 2018 as well though at 2-3 week intervals.

For the Xbox users, we have good news, the PUBG Update is here and claims to have fixed the issue in the recent update.

Apart from the smaller map, "PUBG" will also be introducing an emote system to the game, something which "Fortnite: Battle Royale" has also had since its release.

There are twelve default emotes available, and there are more on the way. By default, the emote key is ~ whereby specific emotes can be selected by left-clicking. As long as you have a PUBG account, you will be able to search and add friends freely regardless of the platform they are using.

More new and much-needed features will soon be added to "PUBG", and players are advised to keep their eyes open for announcements. So how can you access them?

Next are the friend lists.

Beyond that, PUBG Corp say that with the patch, they are 'bringing various optimizations to our server and client. We have mitigated lag and stutter instances and alleviated frame drop and lag occurrences happening when players are pushed together, starting from the second half of a match, or in dynamic situations, like intense firefights.

This should mean a smoother environment to play in, although it won't include the new limb and vehicle penetration system.

PUBG had a bit of a rough weekend after the introduction of an anti-cheating update.
