Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan to star in Abhishek Sharma's next

Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan are going to star in The Zoya Factor, an adaptation of the novel by Anuja Chauhan. And on Tuesday, the actor released the poster of the film, The Zoya Factor, on his Instagram account. The book has many layers, characters and tracks. Releasing on April 5, 2019! The film will be a romcom woven with an ample dose of cricket. The 32-year-old actress co-stars with actor Dulquer Salmaan in the movie, which will be directed by Abhishek Sharma, who has films like Tere Bin Laden and The Shaukeens on his resume. He added that the additional dialogues are being written by Anuja herself. The director made a decision to have Dulquer on board after watching the trailer of OK Kanmani. Also, the actor who plays an advertising agent Zoya Singh Solanki in the movie has announced the release date of the film too. "Super happy to be a part of this unique story #ZoyaFactor an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's bestseller".

According to Abhishek, "I knew immediately that this was the boy we were looking for. We are equally excited to have south superstar Dulquer alongside Sonam", Rucha Pathak, Chief Creative Officer, Fox Star Studios said in a statement. The only one who is sceptical is the newly appointed skipper, Nikhil. While Dulquer's character hails from North originally, the film will portray him as a South Indian guy with remarkable Hindi speaking skills. The book was about a client service rep who is pulled away from a Shah Rukh Khan shoot to go cut a commercial for a soft drink with the Indian cricket team whose disciplinarian captain cuts into her time forcing her to stay back.

Set in the backdrop of India's second World Cup in 2011, the film will be extensively shot in Mumbai, contrary to the book which is set in Delhi.
