Watch Blue Ivy Carter Casually Drop Almost $20000 at an Art Auction

Blue Ivy showed everyone who was boss (as if we didn't already know) when she bid thousands of dollars on a piece of art, even when Jay-Z tried to intervene!

Whilst attending an art auction with her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z on Saturday night, six-year-old Blue Ivy Carter decided it was time to invest in some art of her own by bidding on a painting to the tune of AU $24,600 (US $19,000). The second annual event, put on by Tina Knowles and husband Richard Lawson, benefits the WACO Theater Center. When someone upped the ante by offering up $18K, she raised her paddle, prompting Jay-Z to hilariously try to press her hand down in an attempt to stop her, drawing laughs from the crowd. Thank you for loving me and daddy. At one point, Blue Ivy even attempted to outbid herself.

"Let me tell you what's happening: her mother and father have been talking about how you gather art, and that is a big deal for African Americans", Star Jones, the auctioneer of the night, said on stage.

A piece of art clearly caught Blue Ivy's eye - it's called "Cries in Poorness" - because she held up her little sign and threw down a $19k bid. "According toVanity Fair, she bid on the next item, a 36" x 36" art piece made of deconstructed law and medical books California, and won with a final price $10,000. Meanwhile, Beyonce walked away with a $17,000 set of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings.
