2 killed, one critical in London stabbings

Hiroshima Prefectural Police have arrested a 44-year-old man over the alleged stabbing of a woman, who later died, at a hotel in Hiroshima City, reports TV Asahi (Apr. 16).

The latest killings take the number of murder probes launched by the Met since the turn of the year to around 60, with London's homicide rate outstripping New York's.

Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance were called to Chestnut Avenue, Forest Gate, at about 10.50pm on Monday but they were unable to save the male victim.

At a house in Brixton a woman in her 30s was killed and... She was confirmed dead at a hospital about one hour later.


In relation to the Brixton incident, police arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of murder. Next of kin are aware.

Dihan was wanted in several cases, including murder, snatching and extortion, lodged with Kotwali Police Station, the OC said.

It is believed the alleged attacker and victim were known to each other.

"Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed".
